About us
Hi, I'm Sarah!
Sarah Rees, LGPC
Therapist
What I do at Aspire.
I started my tenure at Aspire in Fall 2022 as a graduate-student intern therapist and saw clients in that role for almost two years. After licensure, I returned to Aspire in May 2024 as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. In my role at Aspire, I see adult clients (ages 18+), couples, and have led group therapy.
Why I became a Therapist.
Offering mental health support to my clients gives them a private, dedicated space to: process their emotions, plan for how they will meet challenges, strengthen relationships with the people in their lives, and feel hopeful about their future.
Why I chose to work at Aspire.
Aspire offers its clinicians the opportunity to support a diverse group of clients from all over the region. Therapists here work with clients experiencing a wide-array of challenges and support clients in multiple settings (one-on-one, couples, families, and groups). This organization enthusiastically encourages employees to learn more about the profession, to grow and learn new skills, and to take on leadership roles.
My Hobbies and Interests.
I love to read and that is how I spend a good bit of my free time. I also love hiking, running, yoga, and naps. My husband and I are raising our family -- ages 21, 18, and 13 -- in Baltimore City, where we are involved in several community organizations that support our family and our neighbors.
