I still have work to do, but I wouldn’t be where I am in my mental health journey without the incredible support from Aspire. My therapist and medication provider are the perfect fit for me, working together as an amazing team. I feel so lucky to be paired with such understanding professionals.

Telehealth has been life-changing for me.
Aspire made it possible to get therapy and medication without disrupting my schooling or my family’s schedule. When I couldn’t attend school because of PTSD, they supported me through Home & Hospital and gave me tools to cope. Now, I’m back in school every day. My doctor and therapist are kind, understanding, and make it easy to get help. I finally feel safe sharing and know everyone is working together for me.

Aspire has helped my entire family.
We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support we’ve received. Everyone at Aspire—therapists, doctors, and staff—goes above and beyond to make mental health care feel safe and comforting. They truly care and ensure we get everything we need both in and out of therapy.

Aspire saved my life.
At my lowest point, I had no one to talk to about the trauma I’d experienced. The care I’ve received at Aspire has been life-changing, and I’m forever grateful.

FAQs

Some common questions

What services does Aspire provide?

Aspire currently offers individual therapy and medication management to persons age 5 and up. Group therapy is available on a periodic basis. We also have Adolescent PRP, Adult PRP, and Adult IOP programs available.

Can I just see a psychiatrist for medications?

Studies show that there is a 90% improvement in symptoms when they receive medication and therapy combined as compared to 50% when only one is received. Therefore, we require all clients who are receiving medications with one of our medication providers to regularly attend sessions with their individual therapist.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can benefit anyone seeking support, self-discovery, or personal growth. It's especially helpful if you're dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions. The initial 60-minute consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns and determine whether therapy aligns with your needs.

Is everything I share during sessions confidential?

Absolutely. Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of our clinical process. Your privacy is paramount, and anything discussed during our sessions remains strictly confidential, except in exceptional circumstances outlined in our privacy policy.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies based on your unique situation and goals. Short-term therapy for specific issues may involve a smaller number of sessions, while more complex concerns might require a longer-term approach. We'll discuss your progress and needs regularly, and we can adjust the number of sessions as necessary.

How long is a therapy session and how often will I need to attend?

Individual therapy sessions typically last 45 minutes, while couples therapy sessions last for 60 minutes. The frequency of sessions can vary depending on your preferences and the nature of the issues you're addressing. Some clients find weekly sessions beneficial, while others may prefer biweekly or monthly appointments. We'll work together to determine a schedule that suits you best.

What type of insurance do you accept?

We currently accept all forms of Medical Assistance through the State of Maryland as well as Medicare. We also accept the following types of private insurance: Aetna, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Johns Hopkins Health/EHP, and Meritain Health. If we do not accept your insurance, or if clients are uninsured, Aspire offers private pay fees and/or reduced sliding scale fees, and can even provide an itemized bill of services for you to submit to your insurance company, to ensure everyone has access to the mental health care they need.
