I went to Stevenson University for my bachelor’s in nursing and completed my master’s at Walden University. I have a particular interest in caring and advocating for the voiceless, the vulnerable, speaking up and doing what is right for them, no matter the circumstances. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and track running. I have over 17yrs of nursing experience in different specialties such as Cardiac, ER, Medical Surgical, Labor and delivery, dialysis, and management. I work as a Mental Health NP at a clinic that specializes in MOUD (methadone and Suboxone), as well as addressing their comorbid mental health issues. My moral obligation as a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) is to care for individuals with mental health and support their families in managing their health needs. I hope to incorporate a holistic evaluation of health needs and promote patient-centered, as well as culturally competent care to individuals suffering from mental health conditions.
