I was born and raised in North Carolina and relocated to Maryland, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from UMBC and a master’s degree in social work from UMB.
I am a tattooed pescatarian, rock and metal drummer, dog lover, and citizen of Latvia. For two years, I lived in Germany with my wife and experienced the lively, diverse, and progressive culture of Berlin. I returned to live in Baltimore City, where I plan to grow roots and participate in ongoing struggles for social justice and equality.
